Tamika has worked for many years with people who have experienced childhood trauma, abuse, hardship and domestic violence relationships. As a result of these years of experience, Tamika fully understands and is able to work with the complexities that stem from these life experiences and their impact on a persons sense of self in the world. Tamika is also a qualified astrologer and if the client is open to using this modality, Tamika can draw up a chart and explore what is happening astrologically for the client. Using astrology in conjunction with the therapy sessions Tamika is able to explore the natal predispositions and characteristics and assist the client to tap into inner strengths or untapped energy. Through this process unconscious patterns that may be hindering the client in their life are brought into their awareness. Through awareness the client is able to make informed choices about their future, rather than struggling with the ‘what is’. Tamika is also an accredited Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) facilitator, hence is able to work either with a small group or individually with clients who are struggling with their children’s behavior and their parenting strategies.

 

It seems that due to the stresses and strains of everyday life, I am getting an increasing number of enquiries for astrology readings concerned with relationship issues. I have therefore decided to add a new and exciting relationship reading to my list of astrological services.

 

So what is a relationship reading? By looking at the compatibility or the synastry between two natal charts you can learn how well your souls are matched. Some astrology signs are more compatible than others, however, this does not mean that you cannot be in a successful relationship with somebody that may be seen as incompatible in astrological terms, it just means that there may be a bit more effort, communication and compromise needed to make it work.

 

How will a relationship reading help me?  The saying of opposites attract is very true, but what happens after the initial spark has lost its energy? Often what attracted us to the other person in the beginning, will start to annoy us after a while. A relationship reading will highlight polarities and through awareness, you will be able to explore and accept your partners personality and traits.

 

Throughout the reading we can highlight potentials and possibilities, as well as any challenging aspects between the planets. Through awareness we can bring into consciousness any patterns of individual behaviour that may be limiting the potential of a healthy relationship. Often as individuals we experience various life cycles or transits which can have us feeling uneasy with 'what is' even though things have been the same for many years. By exploring what is occurring for each partner and allowing open communication within the session, Tamika is able to explore how as individuals you can support each other through change or challenge.

 

Tamika is a fully qualified Counsellor and Gestalt therapist who works with couples, so has extensive experience in working with clients and their relationships. This experience is a huge advantage when doing an astrological relationship reading, as Tamika is able to offer support by way of her counselling skills throughout the session.  This new service is as a result of current clients who have requested a relationship reading. Tamika has found that by looking at the synastry or compatibility in the natal charts, as well as what is occurring astrologically at the time, if the desire is still there by both parties, relationships can be healed and reenergized.

 

The relationship reading is a 2 hour face to face session. A written report is provided as well as a recorded CD of the session.

 

Fees:

Counselling - First session (1½ hours) $150.00, follow up sessions (1 hour) $100.00 (concessions available).

Astrology Reading - $150.00 for 1½ - 2 hour session (CD provided).

Relationship Reading - $200.00 for a 2 hour face to face session (CD provided).

 

Tamika has many year's experience as a supervisor and offers her services to all counsellors and psychotherapists. Often you can feel stuck with a client, isolated, or feel tired and exhausted. Supervision is important as all therapists need support.so they can keep supporting their own clients in a healthy way.
